THE VIEW

Take a Peak

Like what you see? Here’s how to get there.

CHASM LAKE sits at the base of Longs Peak and Mount Meeker, the two highest peaks in Rocky Mountain National Park (1.5 hours northwest of Denver). The summit of Longs Peak (on the right) is 14,259 feet in elevation and is a very popular destination for climbers and hikers. The lake is located 4.2 miles from the Longs Peak Trailhead. Expect a 2,400-foot elevation gain to get to the lake, which sits at 11,800 feet above sea level.
