Today’s Midwest, 25 Years in the Making

A MESSAGE FROM TIMOTHY E. HOEKSEMA, CHAIRMAN, PRESIDENT AND CEO OF MIDWEST AIRLINES

Midwest Airlines celebrates its 25th anniversary this year—a quarter century of providing travelers “The best care in the air.” Anniversaries are important milestones, and while Midwest may have changed in some ways over the past 25 years, our commitment to providing you with an exceptional travel experience remains the same.

Today at Midwest, we’re pleased to be able to provide travelers with more daily nonstop flights to more destinations than any other airline in Milwaukee. We’re equally pleased to be Kansas City’s favorite airline, with nonstop service to both coasts from that city. The schedule we introduced late last year includes service to 33 destinations coast to coast.

We began as an airline serving primarily business travelers and in many ways, it’s “back to the future” for today’s Midwest. While we also provide service to a number of leisure destinations, our primary focus today is service for business travelers to major business markets.

Our business customers say they most value convenient nonstop flights, and we are committed to continuing to provide this service. In our own way, we believe this will help foster a more favorable climate for business during these trying economic times. We are pleased to contribute to improving the quality of life in Milwaukee, Kansas City and the communities we serve. Offering air travel that’s a good value to our customers doing business and working to support our economy is perhaps our most valuable contribution these days.
